Help locating amplifier

I just took all the panels out of trunk. Can one of you guys tell me where the bloody amp is? I was hoping to finish wiring tonight but this has me stumped. I don't think i have the bose upgrade.... I have what appears to be an 8 or 9 inch free air sub in the rear deck on the driver side.
Any help is appreciated...

If you don't have Bose, you don't have a separate amp, just the one in the headunit.

no wonder the paper thin sub is weak. I have another question. Do you know easiest method to get access to rear deck, so I can use the signal being fed to the factory sub.

2002 C230 coupe

No Bose logo = standard sound system

If there is no Bose logo in the car then the sound system is not a Bose system. I think the Bose logo in the sedans are located on the speaker grill on the rear deck. The C320 sedan comes with the Bose system as a standard offering.
