I've done a search and am surprised to find there is little to no information on what I want to do.

I have a 2007 C280 Sedan and want to upgrade the stock headlights to projector lights.

Ideally H7 projectors but I would go with HID projectors too if the price was right, I intend to swap the actual projectors to something clear (s2000 lights) so the initial quality isnt really that important. I found alot of projector lights for 2005 and below models, and some lights on ebay that list that they are compatible with all models. I'm pretty sure 2006 and 2007 lights are alittle different and fear the ebay sellers are just out to sell anything

So what are my options for a 2007 with halogen lights that wants projector headlights.

With the exception of the C55, all w203 C-class sedan headlights are compatible, regardless of year.

You can either buy OEM Bix or buy a set of Depo headlights from ebay. They come with H7 projectors which you can use a H7 HID kit with or you could (as it sound like you want) buy the Depos and retrofit some S2000 projectors into them.

OEM Bix are expensive and use the same Bosch D2S projectors found on the E46 3-Series.

 

if I was you I would opt to go with tsx projectors. I have friends that have their own custom headlight business and they and other forums say that the tsx are hands down the best projectors to use to retrofit, they have the best cut off. You can also adjust the color of the cut off by adjust the shims on the projector so it can go to the bluish tint to purple. I'll have to look up the thread where they discuss the tsx prjoectors. Plus s2k projectors are rather small and run higher in price, they run about 150-200 easily and tsx projectors run around 55-80 for a set and if you get lucky you can find a set that comes with the oem hid kit
