help power steering c240
After doing a full throttle in u-turn, my power steering went off when i reached the traffic light.
when i rev the engine (1.5-2.5 rpm) power steering is okay, but there's this annoying whine sound.
*minimal leak coz the fluid in the reserve goes down slowly..
what could be the problem? power steering pump? leaking hose? or rack and pinion?
my car is a 2002 c240 with 47,000 miles only.

Probably your PS pump. Mine went out after doing a few donuts. The traction control jacks it up if it has to shut the engine down for too long. Mine was the same as far as working fine when I got the rpms up a bit. MB replaced the pump and all is well now.
