Thankfully this was my term off (only way I can afford these mods now), after 5 in a row I don't think I could have handled anymore....

There is a place called C&D Autobody in South Hackensack NJ. They are about 20 minutes from NYC. They do all the Lorinser Dealership cars and also many other dealer cars for CEC. They have a website cd-autobody.com. There phone number is 973-779-0497. You can speak with Matt if you call, tell him Jonathan told you about. we have used mutiple body shops to do our Lorinser cars and he now does all of our cars.

The pully install isn't that hard. I've never done anything with an engine before, and a friend and I did it in about 1 1/2 hours. Neither of us had ever done anything like it before. On a manual car, I would think it would take about 45 minutes at most, since you don't have to jack up the car to lock the transmission. Print out Buellwinkle's instructions on the other forum, good descriptions and pictures.

I have that and an intercooler, but the real problem is I live in NYC and have no place to even attempt it.

Isn't that shop one of Kleemann's installers? If you have a Kleemann pulley (?) and are going to pay someone to install it anyway, you might as well wait and get it done there because you get a warranty.

David, couple of suggestions, all in Joisey, unfortunately:

Action Tire in Lodi on Rte. 46
do a good number of European cars there
www.actiontire.com

IMP in Clifton, right off Rte. 3
did my engine swap on my crx; do a lot of racing application stuff
www.imp-auto.com

Motorsport 46, where 46 meets 17
my least favorite of the three, but are a Brabus dealer, so at least are familiar with Euro stuff

At least you wouldn't pay NYC rates or taxes, plus, Jersey is lovely this time of the year. :p

Thanks tommy, I wound up using Action Tire for the install of an ASP pully, Renntech intercooler, and H&R cupkit... There service department was very nice and courtious, they were up front and did a very good job on the installs (at least in my oppinion), but I would have to say I was far less then impressed with there sales service, I saw alot of underhanded sales techniques, pushing customers away from what they wanted to what they had instock at that moment, one of the sales guys actually got mad at me when a guy he was helping me asked what wheels I liked most and I chose the ones that were out of stock... So I would say use them for install, but unless you know exactly what you want, buy it else where.

David, I wished that pushing clients to make decisions that are easier for the shop were only unique to Action. I've seen that tons of times. I've never had a problem with them in that way, but then I've always known exactly what I've wanted before I got there.

Of course, we will all now want pics of the car post-suspension swap, and some thoughts on how the car now runs. I'm jealous!

KMAN, yeah, I was thinking of entering the ImportXpression show with those 16" steel rims. What do ya think? Honestly, though, I can't wait to put my C7 rims back on. These snows are just awful in good weather, like today.

I will post pics as soon as I can get my 18's back on it and all the salt off of it!! My initial feelings in the suspension is that it makes a world of difference, it is not to harsh, but substancial more solid even when changing lanes, I would say it feals much more like a BMW now (about as harsh perhaps more steady), the only draw back is it makes the roof squeek twice as much (now maybe the dealer will do something about it instead of telling me it is my imagination). The pulley is wonderfull to, it makes 4th gear a blur, if oyu have not gotten one yet, get one, it is worth every penny.
