Should I do this or not?
Okay, so I was talking to Cory, a representative from Kleemann. I got an 05 c230 (m271), and i'm interested in these mods: Header, downpipe with integrated high-flow catalyst, new factory exhaust manifold gasket, and all necessary fasteners/hardware. ($650) The kit includes a larger crank pulley, smaller water pump pulley, K&N air filter, and ECU programming. (Which I think is something like that K-Box kit?) [$1300].
"If we're talking about wheel HP, here's what I would expect:
Headers: 12-15 wheel HP improvement
Software alone: 12-15 HP
Pulley kit and software: 25-30 HP
Pulley, headers and software: about 40-45 wheel HP."
That is the email that he sent me, now I wanted to double check with you all, and I have been reading a lot. However, I have gotten mixed reviews, but I want to know if what he is saying is true. The total comes out to $1900, and money is not really an issue for me, I just want to know how much honesty is in this.
Thanks guys.

by any change did you get an ecu tune also? i know the ecu tune makes the engine work much harder, but does the shorten the life span of ur car?

That's what I mean. It sounds really good, but it's always good to know if what it sounds like is really true. 45whp is a LOT.

why don't you just get the eurocharged crank pulley, header and tune combo instead its cheaper. There combo is $1400 and eurcharged is a respected sponsor on the forum. Most of the c32/srt6 guys run there products. Myself included.
I would PM lounge14...he can probably hook you up with a pretty good deal.

TemjinX2: What are you gains from what you have gotten from eurocharged?
and i mean he said if i dont not see the gains that he has quoted he would work some sort of credit out, so I do not have much to lose to i cuz 40whp is quite a lot.

i would just PM lounge14 or Eurocharged. There the most qualified to answer your question. I'm just providing a cheaper alternative with a vendor that has a very good reputation in the quality of there products and customer service.

Thought the W203 have Siemens SIM4LKE and i have a SIM271LKE
For the small difference in price I would personally choose Kleemann. The header/cat/dp combo alone already has an improvement of around 20hp 20 tq to the crank over stock. With the pulley and tune, I wouldn't be surprised to see an extra 30hp to the wheels.
I recall a few members having issues with overheating after the pulley but it wasn't from Kleemann so I don't know if it will be the same, just something to keep in mind.

infected, i agree with you, i would def. go with kleemann but eurocharged is quite reputable. i know for sure i want to do the header combo, but yea i am a lil scared to do the pulley package. i mean i live in VA, where in the winter it can get really cold, and in the summer it usually is around 90 degrees.
