Can I be honest for a second?

I'd keep my slow *** C240 over that (taking everything into consideration).
I'd rather all my options, the look of my sedan, and the fact that it isn't a hacked-together looking mess.

I'd seriously consider emailing this guy and getting a test drive. It would be interesting to see the car in person and to actually feel the build quality and power.

If he wanted the AMG look, why didn't he just stick on an AMG Coupe bumper? Fitment looks like crap.

"High Beam HIDs are currently on a switch as the Mercedes Headlight System doesn't put out enough amperes to allow proper output to the HID boxes."

Apparently not too familiar with Benzes.

Here are some other key indicators which say RUN AWAY.

See the drips under the car situated under the radiator. They might or might not be from this car but only a bonehead would take the photos and post them in a for sale ad after seeing them. Why not just move the car to a clean part of the pavement.

Aside from the sideways photo which is lame look at the debris under the gas petal in the photo. If you are going to take a photo of a car to place in a for sale ad at least vacuum. I'd also remove the junk in the ashtray, close the ashtray door and remove the yellow scented tree.

Just a little cleaning under the hood. 10 minutes with a wet washcloth would do wonders.

Lastly. Stage the car PLEASE. What numb-skull (I'm being nice) would park the car outside a 1940's single wide mobile home for a photo. I can see why his roof is leaking. I can't imagine this car is put together right or maintained well.

Oh well. I hope some of you young guys learn from his mistakes. Drive your cars to a nice neighborhood for photos and really look at the photos carefully before posting any photos.

I have to sell this, but, unfortunately the roof on my house has started leaking horribly, and the drywall is now damaged along with the insulation and my floors are starting to go, so my options are limited.

The reason I am selling it is because I would like to put some more money into my company and into my recently purchased house

he should decide why he is selling

Doesnt even matter if it is drip from the radiator or not... look at the fitment..

Doesnt even matter again... look at the fitmet between body panel and door...

Well said mrlabguy. Vaccuum, clean, and stage the car. Seriously. He might as well used a Polaroid instant camera or a disposable to take the pics.

When selling a car it is vital to stage the car correctly to get the top dollar for that car. It is best to use a nice neighborhood or setting such as a park or picturesque setting. Using the dump of a trailerpark he used was either a stupid choice or his home. I'm guessing he lived there which tells me he is broke and can't afford to properly maintain his car. This is also obvious from the condition of the car but verifies that fact by the surroundings. If he wanted to distract from the condition of the car he could have used my advice and in doing so would improve his chances of getting a decent bit or price.

THIS.

Seriously, staging and proper photography make a HUGE difference. Especially on ebay when you are competing with a bunch of idiots (in general) who lie, cheat, and post crap pictures if any. It really makes your auction stand out.

I believe superbee meant that the fitment of the hacked-together body of the car would have negated ANY attempt to nicely stage the car.

Oops. I agree with that also. Freaking mess of a car. This is why I'm always so careful before embarking on any mods.

I'm curious about the "short shift kit"; I wonder if that's just ebay speak for "I hacked the rod down".

I still wish there were a SSK for our cars.

That works; however you can hide the mess with proper staging. And although this car is pretty hacked up to the knowing eyes, there is always a fool in the bunch who will look past the mess for the mods and show alone.

I concur. It may not be pretty, but you'll never know how quick/reliable the things are till you own one. I think it's too early to jump to conclusions just yet.

All I can say is, honestly, if you want to do it, do it! Prove us wrong and do it right. It's your car and you should do what you want with it! Only real problem I see is with the fenders... the impact strips don't line up between the fender and the door. If you end up doing this, show us your work and prove that it can be done right. Just have fun.
