great deal on car speakers

I was considering these speakers when i was upgrading my audio and now they're on sale for an incredible deal in case anyone is looking:

crutchfield reviews: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB65...ch=DB651&ssi=0

Low price: (lower than sonic electronix and crutchfield)

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000P0PF9G?tag=slickdeals

I can't say enough good things about Polk Speakers. Been running them for years. If the offer is available on the MM series, I highly recommend those. The db series tends to be a bit slow on transitions and the tweeter lacks definition to my ears.

However, compared to other speakers in this price range, they are head and shoulders better.

I currently run an MM series 6.5 separate in the front. They easily handle higher volumes, and better, the crossovers perform well in low level situations. Say when you have the volume low, but are still listening carefully.

Yep they are. http://signature.crutchfield.com/s_1...DynamicContent So you buy two pairs for $500, and you'll have some very beautiful sounds. Split them with a buddy for $250.

The install kit provided with these speakers allows for a variety of tweeter mounting options.

Heck, I think I even have a referall code that would give you $10/$20 off. PM me if you want it.

I heard the alpine Pros, but personally found that there were sweet spots and somewhat dead spots when listening off axis. Picky I know. For me, I'm running a two way active, with no rear fill. So when my daughter is in the back, I want her to hear all the notes. She is a fan of Neil Young, Pink Floyd...the greats. Funny, because I have a set of 5.25 Alpine Ref that have the radiator ring tweeter and they are beyond amazing.

Just this weekend I was at a meet and greet for mobile audio enthusiasts. I picked up and Arc Audio xxk series amp. Mmmmmm. They had a RTA station setup and were doing some on the spot tuning. I didn't partake since I use the Imprint system from Alpine.

I like tweeters that are domed, I feel like they give off the best dispersion for listneing throughout the car. So the db series by Polk is a great buy. I think the crossovers in use are are the same from the Momo MM series. Looks like it anyway, but I haven't seen an inside shot of the crossover.

When I saw your add, I actually thought about upgrading to the MM series they are selling. I have the previous Momo MM series.

If two people got together, it would be an awesome upgrade. I highly recommend a MDF speaker ring for the install.

I know I'm rambling here. I like my MMs so much, I actually have a the MB Quart high end 6.5 series sitting and collecting dust. I have 3 different MB Quart tweeters that I thought I would try out, but just never got around to it. The Momo MMs just have me satisfied.
