hey guys..... how do you remove the battery? the manual says that you have to remove the screw nuts??? I am passing 4 gauge through but I can get a hold of it without removing the battery.
Thanks.

I don't think I've removed a C battery before, but it should have a metal plate that bolts it down near the bottom. If this is how it is, you should be able to undo the one bolt and remove the plate and then the battery should lift right out.

If it's attached differently, let me know, and I'll take another look.

I've removed mine, and yes, that's all there is to it... with two notable points: first, you need a very long socket extension to reach the bolt, like 8-10" or so, and second, that **** battery is HEAVY and at that awkward angle it's REALLY difficult to yank out. Have fun!

thanks guys. I was able to pull the grommet out and squeeze 4 gauge through but I have to be able to grab it from behind the battery. I have everything pretty much set up... *crossing fingers*. When I get home from work tonight around midnight I will give it a shot Keep you guys posted.... this might be useful for me to document for other sedan owners.

battery was a pain in butt to move around.... didn't need to take it out. Pulling the 4gauge through the grommet was a PAIN...... it damn near pulled ALL the grommets out, if you know what i am talking about. A word of advice..... before sliding the 4 gauge through, try slicing through two grommets and combining the two holes to make one. It should slide through easily after that. Anyhow..... connected to battery but calling it a night. Gotta wait for silicone to finish drying.... so I will just finish it all tommorow night and post pics.
thanks guys
