HID error after service A
Service/Repair done at dealer:
1. Oil change, service A indicator reset done by dealer.
2. Replaced rear glass b/c it was causing static noise to radio when defroster is turned on. (Repaired)
3. Both front windows seal adjusted, it rattles when closing doors if windows down all the way. (Repaired)
4. Scraping noise at front suspension when going over uneven road at 30+mph, bushing, greased it up as fix.
I don't see why would these repairs cause error message to show up, especially I have been using these aftermarket HID (with built-in warning canceller) for 1 year. Both HID are not working. So I replaced them with original halogen bulbs and they work.
I had a service repair 6 months ago on the same front windows while the HID was already installed, no issues.
The HID bulbs I took out look fine. Of course, I cannot bring it back to dealer because they do not cover aftermarket HID issue, and the original bulbs are working without any error messages.
Could it be the HID units fried? If so, what is the cause of it? What could the dealer done to cause that?
Or could it be the reset of service indicator while HID is installed?

Any help would be appreciated.
Try putting them on another car and see if it turns on. Maybe something happened with error cancel?
Edit:
In rare cases I heard even with the error cancel built in people still have problems. Maybe your ECU threw a fit?

If warning cancel is broken, it should still light up when connecting directly to a battery. But what could cause both HID malfunction.

I have no idea why they even made this flag available in the system. It should've been set to YES by default on EVERY car leaving the factory.
