I have a 2002 Mercedes C240. Now that the weather has turned cold my car is again making a squeaking noise when I turn the wheel more than a little to one side or the other.

This happened a bit last year but went away. Now I am noticing it again and I am attributing it to the cold weather. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Same here,
I parked my car is a heated garage for one day, the noise is gone. It is back though when I parked outside in -20'c.

Did either of you check your power steering fluid?

I've had the same issue, though more pronounced. My PS fluid is new and full.
