H&R springs help!

Hello I have a 2005 C230K Sedan and I was wondering if anyone has the H&R springs installed in their vehicle specifically part # 29392. I am looking to buy some but it says they only fit the C55. I was wondering if they would fit on my C230? and if the one's that are recommended fit part # 52792 would fit any different.

I am looking for a lower front end stance for my car.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

They will fit.

All W203 struts and their springs are interchangeable, excluding those for 4Matics of course.
Only their rate, load height and damping differ.

Replaced the H&Rs on our C32 with OE C55/CLK55 springs, a direct bolt-on, in order to raise the front end..

They’re still available. If you’re not pleased, send ‘em back for a refund – no questions asked.

if you really want to lower your front end, I would look into either a tuned shock/spring kit or coilovers. if your budget doesn't fit, h&r springs or Brabus springs would be the lowest you can go. H&R's tend to level the car out so the rear appears more tucked than the front whereas the Brabus drop the front quite a bit. Only issue with just springs is that they will wear out your shocks quite quickly. You can also cut a half coil or full coil off eibachs or H&rs to get the front end real low, but the car may get a little bouncy and is not recommended for longevity.

The question is: are you looking for appearance or performance, or both? It may be worth spending some extra money up front for say a Bilstein BTS kit or Pro-Kit so you have a harmonious match of spring and shock/strut. price is somewhere between $600-$800 but it is well worth it. I have had H&Rs race spring, cut half a coil and upgraded to the Bilstein BTS kit and what a difference! PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks for the reply jokers! I am probably leaning towards spending more money on the shocks and springs because I am looking for something for the longevity. I wish coilovers weren't so expensive

no problem. tell you the truth, coilovers aren't the way to go IMO if you are either in an area with less than perfect roads, or spend a lot of time driving. I had coilovers and after many days dialing the settings in, took them off and switched to the Bilstein BTS kit. I think thats the best bang for your buck and the performance and ride quality is unreal. its a bit harder than the stock sport suspension, but the handling is super flat and predictable. it also doesnt break your back over bumps or scrape over speed humps. look into that kit and I promise you will not be disappointed. the kit came with all mounting hardware, bushings, bump stops and was tuned on the Nurburgring. very high quality kit for $800 shipped. let me know if you want to go that route as the kit is hard to find.

^ Sound suggestion from jokerswld34, particularly if yours are worn from having accumulated some miles.

Bilstein’s W203 BTS kit, # F4-SE5-8872-H2, is available through most of their full-line North American distributors.
It consists of the F4-VE3-5344-H1 (F) and F4-BE3-6880-H0 (R) HD-valved dampers, along with sensibly matched springs.
It’s an excellent value, as sourcing just the struts and shocks themselves essentially equals the investment of a BTS package.

Note that ride height, spring rates and damping are quite subjective, so your expectations and experiences may differ significantly.
Have consistently been pleased with Bilstein’s products and their motorsports department’s (for re-valving) post sale support.
