Squeaky Belts?
Have a 2007 C230 with 28k miles and the last week or so has been on and off snow and rain. Saturday it rained pretty good and was around 40c out and at night I went up to the gas station to get a soda. Did not notice a sound from backing out of the garage but when I got back home it was squeaking like crazy.
When I was in first down the driveway at low RPMs when waiting for the garage to open I heard it a little bit but then I stopped in the garage and that is when I could really hear it.
Is it that the high moisture in the air along with the water on the road causing the noise? The belt looks fine and normal with no tearing. Possible pulleys?
A little lost on what to do as I have never run into squeaky belts before, only old torn belts that I have replaced on my past cars.
Ideas?
Also, today after work (park in a parking garage) I did not really notice a squeak at all when first starting up but when I pulled into the garage when off of work it was back to the noise again.

Sometimes you'll get some belt squeal if a bunch of water is splashed onto the belt - but it should only last for a few seconds.
Sounds like you have a warranty issue. Maybe a bad belt tensioner.

Ya I did a little bit more digging in the search menu and found that it is a common thing on our cars that has a possible chance of being rock solid and never happening or happening a lot. Will give a call to the dealership tomorrow to see when they can get me in.
Am I ok to keep driving it for the next few days?

You're safe to drive it as long as it isn't slipping so much that your voltage dips or your engine overheats. You will get a warning if either happens. You may end up needing a new belt if you continue to drive it and it slips enough to become damaged.

Today it seems fine. The weather changed to around 1c outside or so and do not really hear anything. Plan to really listen tonight when I get off of class in the garage so there is not other noise around.
Supose to be dropping it off at the dealership tomorrow morning.
