Does anyone know how much power the stock clutch on the 230 coupe can handle? Are there any aftermarket clutches available for it yet?

 

I think a good way to find out would be to post your question on the Renntech Forum at the Renntech homepage. You can ask them specifically and they seem to answer questions like that all the time. They have completely modded a number of coupes and should have a good idea about that the clutch/transmission can handle. I don't think they offer anything like that but you could get some good info there.

 

I don't think anyone with the typical mods (pulley, chip, ic, exhaust, intake) as anything to worry about. If people start doing turbos and larger S/C then there maybe issues but at that point you may have to go with a heavier duty clutch that can handle the power, no biggie.
