btw, with the silver line on the taillight mimicing the new S-class it doesn't look right. seems to busy.

I can see what you mean about the taillights. In some angels they do look "busy" while in some angles they look good. I had some extra paint left over from the fenders and wanted to try to do something different. Maybe the stripes would look better on the S-class tail lights. Who knows!

Differences between US spec and Euro spec C's

I read with great interest most of the 35 pages on this thread. Great vehicles everyone. I especially liked seeing the subtle differences in the Euro-spec models vs the US ones (ex: C200 Kompressor).
I had some questions on the Euro models.... Seems all the Euro model's interiors have a raised display of some sort on the center diffuser towards the base of the windsheild. Can anyone tell me what this is? I've never seen this on any of the US-spec models.
Some other observations on the Euro models:
- parktronic
- seems all of them have the digital HVAC, where to date, I haven't seen a single US C230K with it.
- the "classic" models don't have the chrome strip on the side moldings.
- different wheels
Anyone care to add more differences?
Also, within the next few months, I'm looking to buy my first Mercedes...looking for an '05 C230K 4-door Capri Blue with Ash int, 5-speed, with moonroof package, heated seats package, memory driver's seat package, and potentially Xenons. Tough to find though with everyone of those options. As part of my first mod, I was hoping to install the illuminated door sills like MyBlackEyePea has. Specifically, the ones that replace the existing sills rather than the ones that stick over the existing ones. Also want the ones where only the letters are lit up vs the ones where the letters are darker than a lighter blue background.
My question is this: There used to be someone on the forum that would make these, and ship them out with detailed wiring instructions. I've tried hitting his site, but it's dead. Anyone know who he was, and whether there's someone else that's making these high quality ones?

Hello guyz, Today was the first day I put my picks on MBworld and that nice guy (Frank) let me know I should have posted them here to begin with... Oops 
Well, here they are again.. The coupe was wrecked last month. I just got the sedan about 2 weeks ago... My dealership told me, my rims are not MB, but they have the star??.. If anyone knows anything about em, I'm curious.
