It's probably the 265s though, and the tire brand.
thanks bro

switching to 255's soon, then maybe fender rolling, bumper trimming and finally shaving the inside hub of the wheel so it'll stick in more
Really? I'm running 19X10.0 ET 32 w/ GS-D3's and don't have any outside rubbing issues.

wow...thats really strange..

HRE told me the exact specs of the wheel too..

could be because of the 3" lip in the rear

Hmmm...I wouldn't think that the 3" lip would make a difference if the offset is really 31 in the rear.

Are your fenders rolled from factory like a lot of the 2004.5+ models (SS and AMG)?

HRE does release the specs of the wheel...its even on the wheels!

number on the back of wheel: R8A19P316530

stands for 8 series wheel, 19", 31 offset, 6.5" inner barrel, 3.0" outer barrel

not sure, but i think fenders are rolled. i looked under there and its not a "L", its a "V".

i'm going to roll it more anyways.

hope the 255 tire will fix the problem..i really hate rubbing!

Wow, that's so odd.

The 255's should cure it. Is the rubbing heavy or slight? If it's rubbing on the inside liner, it should be alright, but if it's rubbing on the fender, that's obviously something that could be loud, annoying and cut into your tires.

Well, hopefully it'll get resolved. Sorry to hear the issues. If I think of anything else I'll post it up.

robert,

based on your pic, are those wheels from the W209 CLK500 or 55? because those 19x9.5 looks like they are just flush with the fender. If the HRE made them correctly they should go in slightly more.

they were made for a C32 with extra BBK clearance.

Actually, bro, your car much like a lot of the 2004.5-Present Sport Sedans are already factory rolled in the rear. That wasn't common knowledge until sometime in late 2005. They're not rolled as much as they can be, but they are factory rolled.

I always say "if your ain't rubbing you ain't low enough" Just get the fenders trimmed/rolled. Fender modification is a must if you want that perfect stance.
I think this should be taken to the "Official Aftermarket Wheel thread"

you should paint/powder coat the spokes of your rims a medium grey and leave the lip and bolts silver... i think it would look really good on your car and would save you the trouble of getting new rims.

CL203 & sprinter
It's the "I WISH MOD'S"

Current Mods:
CL203 is Bone stock! with clean Subwoorfer upgrade. Audio10 CD player with MOSFET chip disconnected and RCA cables running straight to PPI EQ then to A/D/S/ PQ8 amp, Rockford amp, Eclipse SW9 10' subwoofer (1.5 ohm setup), 2 Farad Cap & 4G wiring.

Sprinter van Mods: K&N airfilter (I know.. it's pointless), Alpine headunit, focal 4 inch splits front, RF 6x9's back (boxed), Cerwin Vega sub and brandless amp.

Upcoming Mods for Coupe: Command, Vortech supercharger, Renntech spoiler, bi-Xenon's, Brabus front & rear aprons, brabus exhaust, door pin's, pedals, gear knob, brabus SLR steering wheel, Mattig grill, Lowered, 30mm spacers on back 15mm on front.

I'm a little low on cash so i'm not sure about rims, AMG front bumper, Wide body (sheet metal), respray.. (gun metal grey).
