yea i got ya lil benz. but the main thing is you can't spend big bucks on that piece of crap off the start, then realistically your already negative.
seriously id take it for 3 or 4 k or less if theyd let it go.
if not, either some idiot is going to buy it for more than 4 k or its going to sit on their lot till they realize its not worth *****.
i live in modesto, but stupid army has me stationed in san diego. if i get a chance im going to go up there to sac and offer them 2,000.
if they don't take 2,000 im going to show them how much parts cost on my iphone and say "goodluck ***" and walk out on my $50k prosthetic and step into my e350. and do a burnout and take the 72 mile drive back to modesto.
phew, sorry i had to get that off my chest. i hate how some people think its worth so much when labor alone costs exceed a new one! lol

The ad that LILBENZ dug up says "fully loaded".
I can tell you from looking at what is left of that car that it was not fully loaded. And it certainly isn't fully loaded anymore
You wanted an idea of parts? Figuring out all of the part numbers alone would be a huge project, so this is the best I'm willing to do and I'm sure many other parts that I can't see are missing. (BTW thank you for calling me a jerk off I really do appreciate that because it is a highly accurate description. Especially since I am helping you build your "parts list")
Here you go:
center vent $198
side vent $120
side vent $120
radio Audio 20 $780 MSCII Command $1780
upper switch row Assuming W/O heated seats $350
climate control panel $210
shifter surround $78
whole bunch of wood trim pieces I think some one said about $800 for all of them needed
cup holder $134
entire drivers seat $1400 or so (the semi auto one not full power)
entire passengers seat $1400
dash center mesh (is this even available?) Yes $130
glove box door!! $310
side covers for dash (I assume both sides) $38
rear seat Lower cushion $640
rear door(s) speaker and speaker cover and possibly entire door panel Door panel dont sell the cover $340
front door(s) speaker, cover 2x $87
front passenger side interior door sill$54
rear ash tray assembly 145 (includes lighter outlet)
fog light $160
fog light$160
bumper mesh left $54
bumper mesh center$124
bumper mesh right $54
WHEELS x4!!!! 780 OEMWheels.com or something like that has them
front tow cover $36
tons of nuts bolts and screws - what a nightmare it will be to find all the right hardware.Gunna be like 50+ bux all the bolts where like $4 plus
rear tow cover?? $34
front bumper re-aligned $150+
PROGRAMMING - SRS at the very least and seats and radio ($150+)
MECHANICAL PARTS?! What the hell is under the hood?!
This car is toast.
Spend 11k on a nice lightly used Mazda 3 and call it a day. You will NEVER accomplish this without going over budget and winding up with a piece of junk for a car.

Total is $8979 for just what can be seen based on this list, I just grabed a mechanic and he said the star programming would cost 500+ because you would have tons of seat, airbag and sterio programming, he said good luck, with a smirk.
9500+9000= Complete C230 however these cars go on ebay all day long for between 15-18k depending on millage, and even if you could source many parts for half off, your still stuck at 4k+the 9500 originally invested, and it also doesnt include tax, tax, title and registration, plus if your a poor college kid it means you dont have 10k laying around (or the 8k plus for repairs) and would have to finance it so 6.5% interest (on an amazing magical day) you'd be better off just buying a complete C230 with 17k miles on ebay or a dealer for 16 or so. I dont think you can come out ahead with this one

Wow and I was saying minimum 4k lool
That's a lot of money. Don't forget the time invested into the repairs as well (if he is going to install the stuff himself). If he can get it for 4k as infantry mentioned (which I think there is no chance) he should just strip it and do an engine swap. I remember Mike (temjin) mentioning putting a supra engine in the w203. Now that would be worth doing (as a project car).

Man... What the hell! Being currently unemployed, I check this site constantly and something good rarely happens around here as of late. But in the few hours that I actually sleep is when all the fun happens?!! Seriously, from 2:30 AM to 6AM... You guys suck, stealing all the fun!
And infantry, you're crazy... If you do it, you need to film it and make a sound like Dr. Zoidberg as you walk away...

Why is the little young buckler banned? I want to watch the circus act he is going to perform with the car.
Any case, here is another gem:

Here is a better flip candidate....

What... an 02 Sensor, a possible electrical issue, and sell for approx $7,000.

1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
This was epically long for that short amount of time. I'm sorry I missed the original first post, though.
