wood trim

Does anybody know if there is any reason why the wood trim option from the 03 Coupes could not be installed on an 02 Coupe?I'm thinking of getting the Charcoal Cinnamora wood and putting it in my car. I think it might look pretty good with a black car and the charcoal interior. Anybody know how much it would cost?

you need three pieces: console. ashtray and the shift trim plate. it should cost you about $500 from the dealer.

I have a wood trim set for a 2002 c240...

hey, just read this and thought about my wood trim set off my 02 c240....i recently installed the aluminum trim kit so this wood kit i have is off my factory car. i believe this will fit your coupe, you may want to verify it, but make me an offer, i never had an intention to sell it so i have no price offhand. let me know. i can ship within the continental u.s. at no charge. =) the trim is just over a year old (about 12000 miles) of wear.

I think it will cost you more than $500 from the dealer. I remember one guy who bought wood trim for his coupe last year. I think it was closer to $1000.

But since there was no wood trim in the coupe at the time, I'm assuming it was the C sedan wood. So K9ff's wood trim should work fine.

im not sure about the cost of the wood trim set from the factory. however, when i got my textured aluminum trim off the sport/amg models, each piece on average ran around $150-200 USD!!!

if my wood set will fit your coupe, i dont know. most of the center pieces should be the same however, as the only differences i think there are between the coupe and sedan are the door and front door bottom inserts. i will also have the stock knob available if needed, as i will soon have the matching silver knob for the aluminum.

pieces i have available:
front doors (2 pc per door)
rear doors (1 pc per door)
center dash piece around radio/command unit (1 pc)
coin/ashtray cover (1 pc) **tiny, tiny scratches**
bottom center dash around gear shift lever (1 pc) **very slight wear from putting my cell phone on it**
sliding cover for cup holder (1 pc)
leather/black insert gear shift knob (1 pc)

i switched to aluminum because i've seen wood trim on other cars "wear" over time with the clear varnish scratching over the years. so i wanted something more durable and sporty looking. the very tiny scratches from the coin/ashtray cover were made from broken glass, the scratches are very, very small,...someone tried to break into my car and busted the driver door glass =( i got my insurance company to cover most of the pieces and said they were all scratched and upgraded to the aluminum set =)

i dont have a digital camera, but i am willing to send what you need upon receiving a check or money order, and if the pieces are not of interest to you, to refund your money back as long as the pieces are in the same condition. i will give you all my relevant info to assure you i am not trying to scam you. thanks.

I was originally planning on getting the Renntech aluminum dash but wouldnt mind the wood either (I just have the cf in the coupe ). Anyways, I would be interested in purchasing it from you. I sent you a pm yesterday, let me know if that is a fair price.

Regards,
Matt

sorry matt for the late response, i never knew how to check pm's until just now...i was thinking to sell the entire trim set(including the shift knob) for a couple hundred bucks (USD)... anything less than that amount wouldnt be worth it for me to sell and ship. you may want to see how much the dealership wanted to sell the set for, but i would imagine it would cost quite a bit of money...again, i had no real intention to sell it in the first place, so i will not regret not selling the set. if you are still interested, let me know. thanks. =)

Thanks for the reply. Ill check with my dealer then get back to you. If I find that it would fit I might just buy the whole set from you and just use what I need. Thanks for the reply, Ill keep in touch.

Matt
