newbie questions

what lowering spring out there will lower my car the lowest? i want the front lower then the back, do you guys have any recommendation?

Is the Amg muffler a direct bolt on to the c230? will the muffler make any noise due to less restriction?

Im about to purchase some rims size 19's and i was going for the staggard look so what width should i get? and tire size? I wanted wider in the back then front..

thanks everyone new to the board

I'm not really sure which springs will slam your car the most... might want to look through the C-Class picture thread for some ideas.

I think the AMG (or Remus) doesnt quite bolt on (you have to cut the pipe and reattach), but the install should not take very long if done by a good shop.

For rims... in 18" you would go with 18x7.5 front (225/40) and 18x8.5 rear (255/35). I assume 19x8 and 19x9 with the same tire sizes would work fine...

BTW if you are going to get springs and the potholes are bad, dont get 19s. The 18s look big enough and there is alot less risk of damaging them.

I think the H&R coilovers will slam your car the lowest because they're adjustable. Next it will be the H&R Cup Kit. There is an AMG muffler for the C230K taken from the C32AMG coupe in Europe. From what I was told, they're different from the C32 sedan's muffler. It should be a direct bolt on.

For wheels, I think the saftest size are 225/35/19 with 19x8 rims in front and 255/30/19 with 19x9 at the rear (without fender rolling). There're people who have put 235/265, however, some said it does require fender, some said it doesnt.
