My alternator light came on
I bought my 2005 C240 back in October. I drove it 10k with no issues until yesterday at exactly 10k more at 59k My alternator light came on. It said batter/Alternator visit workshop. Took it in and ordered a new one. Does this seem a little bit low miles for one to be going though?

I replaced my alternator at about 93k miles, and when I did I realized that the noise that I thought was the supercharger was actually a bad alternator bearing - and it had been making the noise since new...
It does seem a bit early for an alternator to fail, but whether it's early or late is beside the point - it failed, it's being replaced, end of story.

My ex has a 98 Camry with over 200k miles on the original alternator. The highest mileage 2005 model car I know of on this board belongs to a member with the username Scottisha. It's an 05 C230K with over 200,000 miles. The original alternator lasted until 130k, IIRC. Supposedly if a bearing on the alternator goes out, it can take out the A/C compressor.
At 75,700 my alternator is original and per the dyno mode charges at 14.1-14.2V steady during motion. You should've checked your alternator charging volts when you got that warning.
