This is the one I bought a month ago for $16 shipped on eBay. They work great with no errors. And much cheaper than all of the other eBay sellers ($30-50 is a rip-off!). Although the seller is from Hong Kong, they actually ship out of California. I thought it would take 3 weeks for shipping, but I got mine after 4 days, USPS first class mail from Cali.

I heard Hoen's are nice, but they cost to much. Paying $30 or more is outrageous for a pair of LED festoon bulbs. I even thought the $16 I paid for my pair was a little expensive, where a pair of normal SMD LED festoon bulbs cost less than $10.

You know... In my daily affairs of a part ***** for the factories, I've come across mini bulbs with ballasts similar to HID. The cost was extremely high (30-40 per bulb) and they weren't any better than LED... I think it was either a digital canceler or some type of ballast.
I'm trying to find photos but honestly, since the products weren't feasible, they never made it to market and the factory prob moved onto other things. lol.

HID bulbs (or a variant of them) do exist for license plate lights.
The new Lexus cars have them as license plate illumination...they have a different name though...cant remember what it was off the top of my head....but LED's are just as good.
