Sebring Muffler?

Has anyone had any experiences or opinions with the Sebring rear muffler on a C240??

My father just ordered it for his car, deciding not to go for the Carlsson as we were told unless we purchased the middle silencer it would be too noisy and annoying for daily driving.

Im not so keen on how the Sebring sounds, a bit too quiet for my tastes and doesnt have a very nice deep and/or throaty tone.

just interested in peoples opinions, did we make the right move?

if you have a Sebring on your car, im interested in knowing how you like it!

I have a Sebring muffler (sold by Renntech) and it's way too quiet, don't even think many people can tell it's any different.

If you want loud from your exhaust get Hi-Tech exhaust ... they're really LOUD...I've tried them....couldn't stand the noise after a few blocks of driving then I put the original exhaust back on. Their exhaust seems to produce more power at the top end.

Why don't you get AMG exhaust??...sounds great!! .. music to my ear whenever I warm up the C32. I'd imagine it'll sound close to C32 as C240 is a V6 engine too...

Well I believe that you can buy AMG exhaust for your C240. It is not something that you can pick from the option list but you can buy it after you got your car delivered.....I would've gotten AMG exhaust instead of Remus. MB didn't have any AMG exhaust for C200K at that time altho they have AMG exhaust for other C Class models.

not sure how they would sound with out the resonator, i think they just quiten down and tone the sound!

but i know that on my car its hell loud with no resonator..

remus are normally pretty deep sounding to begin with, so cant really account for that.. but the sebring needs all the help it can get to make any sound!

Who's got Remus/Sebring with resonator removed??...I was really considering of doing it but quite concern if it'll be too loud. Don't wanna make it sound like Hi-Tech.
Hey Wong...I thought you had aftermarket exhaust installed on your car? ... didn't you said it was really loud??..how's the sound now??

Remus with middle muffler??...you mean Remus from catback??? ... I'm sure it'll be a louder, my friend has Remus from catback for his vectra and it sounds better than my Remus (muffler only).

I have the REMUS exhaust on the c230k coupe.

I have C7 package no centre muffler, strait through from cat back..

It aint loud at ALL!!

I mean its deep and with the windows down it hum's but i need somethin with more noise.

I want to put a universal muffler on the coupe, but space is tight and it can be a max of like 14 or 16 inch legnth if i remember correctly because of the short rear end.

Help!!

Thanks for the insight ... if you want louder exhaust noise then a straight thru design exhaust will definitely do the job
