All the wood/aluminum trim in cars is clear coated. So, any polish designed for paint will polish out the scratches. Just like paint, start out with the least aggressive polish and work your way up as needed. There is also a product called Plexus that polishes, protects, fills small scratches, and resists fingerprints, etc that works very well in keeping the trim looking new.
