Does your coupe do this??

I have a 2003 coupe with 6800 miles on it. In the morning, I let it warm up for about a couple of minutes and back it out of the garage, but when I put it into drive mode, it jumps.

Also, it didn't have the touch shift attached. I tried to use it and it wasn't going anywhere (meaning it wouldn't shift and it would just stay in drive). I had service fix that....

Also, the check windshield wiper fluid message keeps coming on. No leaks and it is full... What is up with that??

Anyone have these problems???

Probably why Consumers Report rated this car the worst for reliablity... Ech!!!

Thanks,

Laura

can't help you with the first two problem.

the last problem might just be the washer fluid sensor is bad.

When you say it jumps, what do you exactly mean, as I have a 2003 C180K Coupe (similar 1.8L to your car) and on occasion when I accelerate forward slightly and then back off from the gas it then accelerates slightly then deccelerates on its own, and continues to do this until I move the auto lever into neutral !
The car is currently at the dealer for this and 12 other warranty issues !! My car is 8weeks old and 2600klms only.

That happened to me a couple of times. I have C200K coupe. Its usually hot here ( around 48'C) but couple of months we had a really cold weather (it reached 8 and 9'C) I noticed when I don't warm my car something just like what u said happenes.

so all what I did was warming my car for few seconds and then it was all over.

Mine has happened under extreme load when the car was quite warm (normal op temp) - twice up a hill, once in reverse on lock reversing into a car spot.

Take a look at the torque converter. The problem sounds related to it most likely.
