please help, am sick off the sound my benz is making
Hi, my 01 c200 automatic benz for the past good while now has been making a bad sound when i press the brakes, i brought it to get the brakes changed to be told there perfect they dont need changing and was told that these cars make that sound with the weather but ive never heard another benz make this sound.
as ive said when i press the brakes theres like a squeaking sound the type the old buses used to make, everyone looks and hate it also as i press them at the end off stopping i hear a grinding sound, dont understand what this could be and just want the sounds to stop. please help........

What type of pads do you have? Ceramic? Semi ceramic? I'd try buying some brake dust cleaner and cleaning it really good first. Check your rotors to see if they're warped or if a clip holding the pads is loose or not seated properly.

Did you end up fixing the noise problem? I am experiencing the same noise with my front left wheel. I know it's from the wheel, because, when I swapped my left wheel to the right, the noise also went to the right.
The mechanic said the belt within the tire might have shifted and hence, causing the noise. I am a bit skeptical with that answer.
If you have fixed the issue, please let me know what you did. Thanks!

Check your wheel weights.
Mine were contacting my caliper and making a clicking sound.
