Anyone have 2 different size rims?
I was wondering if anyone is running 2 different size rims (17s up front, 18s in the rear, etc...)
I was looking for new rims and I was thinking about doing this setup, and also possibly staggering the rears as well...do you think this might be too much?
Any input would be great.
Thanks,
Erik

If you do it, make sure you have more tire on the 17's so that the overall diameter is the same as the 18's, otherwise you will have problems with your ESP. If the fronts are smaller and spin faster, it will think you have wheelspin and start using ESP.
You can go to tirerack.com and get the outside diameters for all the tire sizes. Try to find 17's and 18's that have the same diameter, and see if they will work for the rims you want.
But it might be more hassle than it's worth.

I was looking on TireRack about this. The tire sizes also depend on the type of tire, not just the size. There can be some differences between brands. I looked at Michelin first and didn't really see anything that worked.
But then I looked at Yokohama AVS ES100's. If you run 225/45-17 fronts and 255/35-18, they are the exact same diameter. Oh, and I see you can also run 225/40-18 rears if you don't want them staggered. There are also some other combinations, and you should check for whichever brand of tire you want to get.

I'd say give it a go, it seems to work on the Honda NSX.
You might be one of the first to start a new trend on late model, non hot-rod cars!![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I think a 19" and 20" combination would look great!
