Check engine light and codes?????
I need help. My check engine light came on and I am getting 2 codes.
1. P0128 Coolant temp below regulating temp- I am assuming this is probably a thermostat issue. Easy fix from what I can tell. Am I correct?
2. P0620 Generator Control Malfunction- Not sure about this one. Alternator possibly? I just put a remanufactured Alternator in about 2 months ago after getting the Alternator/Battery warning. Everything seemed to be back to normal and now this light. I can't notice too much, but it's my wifes car and she says it is acting weird- whatever that means. I have had problems with remaned alternators in different cars so I am wondering if this new one is going out?
Any help would be appreciated. I don't wnat to have to take this thing to the dealership.
Thanks,Chad

Based on other threads/comments posted in this forum on low coolant temp, the thermostat is most likely the culprit.
If you want to check your charging system, one quick but not fail-safe way is to put a voltmeter across your battery with the car running. It should read ~14.5 volts if it's charging. Another thing to check is the battery voltage with the car off - should be ~12.5 volts or so.
Hope this helps...
