Vibratrion when in Drive & Reverse
Hi folks, I hope someone can help me find the problem. When ever I put my wife's car in drive or reverse there is a vibration also when I stop at a light with my foot on the brake it does the same, but it does not do it when it's in park or neurtral. I thought maybe the front motor mounts were bad so I replace both of them but it still does the same. The only other work I've done is replace the front inner and outer rubber boots. My wife has a C240 4Matic 2004. The car has 86,000 miles and there are no check engine lights on. I clean the air fliters out and the throttie body was clean. There is one more motor mount behind the tranmmision I think I will change it, after that I'm at a lost. What do you think?

It could be the transmission/rear motor mount, but I think the front would be the one's giving vibration problems. What does the car idle at while in gear? Is it lower than it was before? I would have initially said motor mounts, btw.

If it was the motor mounts, it would do it in park, idling.
However, it only does it while the drive-train is 'connected' (in drive, or reverse, i.e., connected to the transmission). I would look at bdgdl08 post...
