Sound in the steering wheel

Hi, I'm Jeff from Indonesia.

I'm wondering why is my steering wheel making sound when crossing bumpy road even in straight line? This happening after i cut my eibach spring, but now i use new un-cut eibach spring but still making noise. actually i can feel the knocking vibration on the top of the steering wheel.

thanks

well if u cut the spring, it may not be seated correctly. With new eibachs it could be that you screwed the spring purch up and the bearing inside which would make noise over bumps, it wouldnt be a sounds from your steering wheel as much as front end.

You could also possiby not reconnected one of the arms on the multilink up front, that would make a whacking noise.

Steering wheel noises Id say would be somewhere in the rack if its your wheel. Does it do it all the time, only around turns? What speeds?

there's no problem with installation of the springs, cause it's done by professionals in here and they have recheck the installation.

the noise is from the steering wheel, even when the car is not moving, if I turn the wheel left and right just a little, i can feel a little vibration and clunking sound from the steering wheel.

after asking some workshop, some say that the power steering axle lacking in grease.

I need another opinions from you guys.

thanks

have you checked to see if the racks leaking, could be binding due to lack of fluid, or if you hit a bump or pothole you could have bent a tie rod, which would resist in the steering.
