Front Passenger Seat Ticking from Seat Adjustment Lever
I have a 2005 C230. The front passenger seat has a ticking sound when the car is cool in the interior when driving. If I reach down and slightly pull the lever that adjusts the seat forward and back it stops. I have tried everything to locate where the tick is coming from. The dealer has felt tape around almost every metal piece under the seat. I have put it in even more places yet still can't find where the ticking sound is coming from. I have even gone to putting cardboard pieces in the seat rails thinking it may be coming from there. Has anyone had this problem. I have tried everything and the ticking sound is driving me crazy.
The car is black with black interior, so if it sits in the sun long enough it goes away, because the interior is so warm which makes me feel like it may be a plastic piece under the seat hitting against something.
