What if I said the last time we had it dyno'd it only made 550 HP at the wheels because the fuel lines were too thin and it ran lean above 5000 RPM and thus we didn't tune the carbs! Next time we go we might see ~600 at the wheels. Oh and calculations were done on the drivetrain by another owner and found the loss to be ~21%... Oh and did I mention it only weighs 2500 lbs? Would that make it anymore exotic?

But if it doesnt count as exotic well then I guess theres nothing I can do about it!!!

Well im not so sure about the first post on top of this page but that shelby is considered an exotic in my book. Even here in Miami I've barely seen any. Then again it is up to nlp_amg.

lol, I don't consider a Vantage an exotic! come on, it can't be an exotic if it's only $130k. I see them daily and am considering one, so it can't be!

but, if it one of these would be an exotic, I would say the Shelby over the AMV8.

 

Actually I agree with you. I do see these often but Aston Martin is still an exotic in car standards.

I agree with Phil. Sorry Mike, I don't want to pick on your post (you should still get points) but the Aston Martin is not an exotic in my book. When I hear exotic I think of Ferrari Enzo or F50, Lambo Murcielago (not Gallardo) , Saleen S7, Pagani Zonda, Porsche GT, Bugatti Veyron, McLaren, Phantom and Patrick

I can see the Cobra as a classic more than an exotic but like Phil said Cobra is more exotic in my book than the Aston Martin

how bout an oldie... An Ariel Atom from the UK. We had one from the US too w/ the Ecotech motor but this being from the UK makes it more "exotic" lmao. ok still doesn't count tho.

i think an aston martin is an exotic, but i do see them every day as well, and the shelby is definitely more exotic or rare than an Aston. I took a picture with an Aston a day before the ML but i decided to post the ML instead lol

side not: that wasnt just any V8 AMG, that was one of the rarest AMG's being produced right now (ML63) full Brabus Widestar edition

HOLY CRAP. As I sit here typing, there's an Audi R8 V10 outside of the starbucks I'm sitting at. It's got the carbon body panel too! That's an add-on for that car. Wonder if it's got ceramic brakes.

Anyway, I do agree w/ the ML63 being a bad *** find. I'd actually like to continue the exotic challenge for a bit and see who can top what's already been put down. It's nice to see what people consider "exotic". IMO, rare doesn't always make it exotic. If that were true, the C350 6-speed and my C320 sport would make the list. lmao. But yah, I'd like something we can all agree on. Anyone got a neighbor w/ a 599 GTB or 612 Scaglietti? lol.
