2002 C230 Coupe
asp pulley
]I am in the midst of considering a ASP pulley after 6 years of owning my car. i feel i want some more power. but im kinda of worried about wrecking or damaging me coupe in anyway so i wanted to ask for some advice from vets
firstly i have a 2002 c230 coupe. reading around the forums i hear that the only real mod to increase your power is the ASP pulley or a pulley kit. but seeing as everyone seems to find a pulley rare an asp pulley is the only one that is accessible. i do have a few friends taht are good with import cars and have modded bmws and audis and mercs so i should have a decent hands in helping me with the install
i found one DIY here and i believe its a member from here.
basicly i know it gonna be like 600 bucks, and i want to make sure that buying this wont bring the life of my car to and end.
so what are the pros and cons of getting a pulley? and i read somewhere that an ASP pulley isnt as good as pulley kits from, say like, barbuis or something, and if so why is it less effective? or is there a better chance of it damaging your engine??
any help would be greatly appreciated

I can only say that the ASP pulley is great.
It's based on a stock pulley so no issues with engine damage as long as you line it up correctly.
Been running mine for 125K miles no problems.
