obx header question

Watup everyone.

Thinking about installing some headers on my c230 but I don't want to remove the catalytic converter because of smog test issues here in Cali. I was wondering if its possible to install the headers without installing the down pipe so that I can retain the cat-converter. In other words just wanna install the top part of the header. Will that work? will it still gain some power? or does the whole thing need to be installed?(header and downpipe).

Let me know what ya'll think.

pretty sure you have to use the aftermarket cat. Since the collector is now lower where the stock cat is. Might as well put both pcs in since if you were able to just use the top half you wouldn't pass visual inspection for smog.

I don't think it comes with the after market cat. It comes with a resonator.

I'm pretty sure its a aftermarket cat. If not when installed it will throw a code from the o2 sensors.

Yeah thats my car, those wheels mounted are the discontinued Monarch 410 Mesh which are now Eurosport 915's same wheel different brand

Did you use any spacers to fit your rims? that 10.5 rear lip is sick! Do you have any problems with rubbing at all?
