We need to know the rim size, as well as the size of the tires you want. I have successfully put E class rims on my car, but I needed spacers to work with the tire size I chose. It is possible to do this, but:

- You need proper bolts that have the right head, the right thread, and the right length since you will probably need spacers. The E class uses a different bolt head, since W211 wheels are shaped differently where the bolt head touches the rim.
- You can't use your existing wheel bolts. They will not be compatible.
- You may be restricted on tire size due to rubbing

Mercury you are fine. CLK wheels are interchangeable with our car, partly because of bolts.

In my case, the E Class uses a M14 bolt head, not an M12 head, and is shaped differently. I also needed spacers. So I had to get bolts at the right length, thread, and with a M14 head. Fortunately the shop I was sent to by my dealer has lots of combinations of bolts for these situations. They also have an in-house mill shop so they can manufacture anything from bolts to custom spacers.

yeah i measured the rims and it came to be like 18.5". theyre a little wider than the 17" stock rims i have on right now. sorry i couldnt find out the exact dimensions. whats a good tire to install on these rims? i need like an all season low profile tire that will fit without rubbing. i already got the M14 bolts. my friend gave them to me with the tires.

There are non 18.5" wheels.. Maybe it's just 18".. I've got 18x8.5 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear and works fantastic on my c200 w203.

You have to use different tires front/rear.

225/45-17 ---> FRONT TIRES

245/40-17 ---> REAR TIRES

You wont need anything special, just the bolts...

And about the kind of tire, I will suggest you to buy some michelin pilot sport... Those are by far the best tires in the market... A little expensive but they will worth it.

I went to my shop today and they told me that I would need
front: 225/45 17
rear: 245/40 17
because of the height being the same with this setup..
What do you guys think?

Most auto shops won't have what you need. Find out who is the best custom wheel shop in your area and give them a call. You should go in for a test fit. They will be able to tell what kind of spacers you need, and determine what bolts you require. They should have what you need, or know where to get it.

You do need an M14 head, and the M12 thread, but the spacers you use will determine how long of a bolt you will need.

These guys can do anything. They can also custom machine anything you need from scratch. They have their own in-house machine shop.

The size of the bolt is completely dependent on the wheel requirements, plus the spacer you choose to use, as that determines the length of the bolt you will need.

You need to go to a wheel shop and do a test fit to determine what spacers you will use, and the length of the bolt required.
