The AUX is only in the glove box if you have COMAND. The changer doesn't have an AUX input.

Just get a cassette adaptor. Or burn the files back to a CD.

I had Steve install the AUX when he installed my COMAND. The AUX input allows you to connect an audio source to the COMAND, such as an mp3 player, mini-disk player, diskman, etc. To make sure my AUX input was working, we tested it with a Marantz portable cassette deck.

Hey Lynn,

I have a CD changer in the glove box, do think that it will block the AUX port? If possible, could you please post some pics of your AUX. thanks

I don't have a digital camera, so i won't be posting a pic. The AUX input is installed in the right side wall of the glove box, while the changer is installed to the left.

Here is a previously posted pic of the AUX input:

Is that the stock input or is that home grown? Because purchased my car with the Comand and its due in about a month.. and because they dont make a soundgate/blitzsafe adapter for my Alpine Mp3 changer like they do for my E46 BMW M3 i was wondering how i would hook an ipod up. Is that what the stock input looks like?

When I was doing the AUX mod on the radio I was thinking about putting it at that spot because it would look so stock! But later on I decided it to be inconvenient because if I ever want to fastward to another song I need to open the glove box.
