Help with lug bolts
Hi guys noob here.. need help..tried searching and nothing.
ok, I got a 2006 c280 and i ordered the 230 sport wheel replicas..love the way it looks... the oem lugs are longer that the ones they sent me and have a differnet seat type... now the car makes a noise like a clicking or tapping when the rear wheel spins. tire shop said lugs arent long enough and they make the rotor off and and making it rub the shield thing... the wheels are 17" x 7.5 i think w/ 37mm offset... look great just cant drive it with the noise. anyone else had the same problem or can help..

lol...lugs are probably TOO long, and you ripped out your emergency brake mechanism thats located on the inside of the rear brake rotor. OEM lug seats are round not tapered , check your bolts, as i dont know what seats your wheels have. usually OEM bolts works fine with most OEM wheels and usually aftermarket wheels have tapered lug seats.
