Fuel gage not working..

Turned the car on this morning and the fuel gage registered zero. Put gas in it and gage remains unresponsive. Checked the "miles to go" in the instrument cluster and it reads nothing as well. Any ideas?

have you been letting the fuel run almost to empty before filling it up?
If so, air collects at the bottom messing up the fuel sensors.
just dont let the level drop below 1/4 for a few days...that fixed the problem when i had it.
