C320->C32 AMG

hey guys, i just got a c320 for a good deal, but i wanna strap an amg supercharger on it. Now i know, i know, i have to lower boost....blah blah blah. Anyways so im getting the OEM supercharger soon. What kind of power rating should i expect? 0-60 times near c32 or naw? and LASTLY, it has the amg rims and body kit, IS IT WORTHY OF A C32 AMG SIGN OR V6 KOMPRESSOR OR NOOOT? let me know wht you think

Hmm, you may want to do some searches on kleemann

http://www.kleemann.dk/Performance/P...ompressor.aspx

If you can get your hands on the parts well..

These are more difference between the C32 and the non AMG w203.. More than just AMG bolted on a s/c. So no I doubt it'll run dead nuts with a c32, but it'll move. Are you going to get a retune?

of course brakes, suspension, some internals of the m112 motor are diffrent, but really those things will only make a small diffrence in times. I will have to get a retune, ECU remap, amg brakes...etc. Theres no point of having 330 or whatever its gunna push out without the braking power. But like i want it to feel like a whole diffrent car:P do you think i can acheive it with a s/c?!

Yeah, with a deeper exhaust, stiffer suspension, and the AMG s/c it will feel like a different car.

unless you plan on doing all the work yourself, it probably would've been cheaper to buy another c32. You should be able to keep up with a stock c32 until you eventually blow your bottom end since the pistons and rods are a lot weaker on a c320 then a c32.

well the kleemann sc version claims it adds 113hp to the crank. So 113 +215 = 328hp so its very close to the c32. Obviously you can run more boost with the oem setup, but the question is how much hp can the c320 block take before it goes boom.

Since no one has done it before your not going to know until you blow it.

Unfortunately there no aftermarket pistons and rods for the m112. So you would either have to buy oem c32 pistons and rods or go custom.

I would've just taken the money you spent on the c320 and just bore c32 block to 3.7L with maybe a s350 or ml350 crank. It probably would've taken you over 400whp on a dynojet, with supporting mods of course.

Unfortunately, we have to pay the mercedes tax on labor and parts, so building these blocks aren't cheap. Where as i could have a honda block built and sleeved to 500whp for $2500.

thats true...but the problem is i looked at the c320 kleeman and it says 0-60 is like 6 esconds. Doesnt make sense to me, and its not like im going to take it to the track ehh. I just plan on enjoying it when a 3 series comes by. Not a 335 though

i'm sure you can hit sub 5second 0-60. There c32's hitting below 5second 0-60 with just better tires.

You should go off of 1/4 times and trap speeds if you want numbers thats more of a indication of performance...unless you really want to beat that 3 series to the freeway ramp..lol

What do all the parts to make a C32 motor out of a C320 motor cost? Besides the S/C there are so many parts like the intake, the IC, the heat exchanger, etc. Did you get them from a salvage yard?

well i dont plan on changing everything asap, cause i really dont care i can drive my other cars, but i can get an intake from the forum for appx200. Heat exchanger ill wait and stuff. The c32 supercharger isnt from a salvage yard, im in Canada so i cant really find salvaged mbs. Should i put the amg logo and take the 0 off after that or naw?

I wouldn't. It's not a real AMG car no matter what you do to it. Your VIN will always show that it's a C320.

American engines aren't bad. The LS2 is a great engine and it loves to be boosted The 2JZ is a great engine as well. If you want it as a project car then the supercharger is a bad idea. You'll be disappointed because I don't think you'll come close to the stock C32 power.

Good Luck

not at all, its just an opinion and im sure there great to be boosted:P. lol by project i didnt mean like just keep adding stuff haha...like a car to drive everyday but still be pretty quick, so it'll be project for like 2 months than an everday'r. Um by come close how much hp are we talking? cause like other people said kleemans does 330hp, but amgs/c runs at a higher boost. As long as im acheiving 320ish id be fine. just pass the 300 mark with ease im good

I think you'll pass the 300hp (crank) mark easily. Do you know how much the psi is on the supercharger? Your compression is 10.0 and you have to be very careful with high psi.

The C32 engine is built for forced induction but the m112 isn't so you have to be careful not the blow the engine with high psi. I wanna say with the 10.0:1 compression ration you should make sure not to run over 8psi (over 7 to be on the safe side).

With an IC and heat exchanger and a good tune I think you can pull 8psi easily but don't really know how long it'll last
