Wheel & Tire Question

I am looking at a set of rims and tires in my area. I have a 2005 C230 Sedan.

Will 19" rims fit with no modification?

Here are the tire sizes.

Front-255/35ZR19
Rear-285/30ZR19

Is there enough room for the rims and tires to fit?

I tried searching but didn't get a clear answer and can't seem to find the correct info online.

thank you

I searched the first 50 pages of that thread and not one mention of that specific tire size.

Thanks for the help.

What car did these wheels and tires come off of? An E class? 19s will fit with no modification as long as you have the correct offset. I dont believe these tires will work for the C230 SS without major rubbing issues.

They are on Craigslist and the guy doesn't know much about them.

He said they are off of a 06 SL500

Foose DF-5s

He doesn't know the offset and can only provide me with the tire size.

Are the wheels local enough to where you can go test fit them? The guy seems kind of unknowledgeable when it comes to wheels info. I would go check them out in person to verify if your really interested in these wheels. GL.

those tire sizes are way too big... with no modifying, you wont want to go any bigger than 225 or 235 front and 255 rear. depends on the offsets too, but even with perfect offsets, those tires are too wide.

Unless you plan to roll the fender lips and make some other mods, no way will those tire sizes (especially the fronts) fit on your MB without rubbing and clearance issues.

If you have the Sport Package, you have the big Brembo front brakes, and you will need a rim offset of 35 or less to fit the fronts w/o having to use spacers, but you will have to come down on the tire size. The largest front tire size I have seen mounted on front on your car type is a 235 but even that is very tight so I would suggest continued research and try to find some from a seller with knowledge on fitment for your car. MB's have alot of aftermarket rim selections, but going too far one way or the other can compromise handling and ride quality, and you want to buy from someone who knows what they are talking about. Good luck

FYI-
Stock tires/rims for your car-
17" x 7.5" front rims, 225 45 17 tires with a factory 36ET (Five spoke hyper silver rims)
17" x 8.5 rear rims, 245 40 17 tires with a factory 34 ET (Five spoke hyper silver rims)

5 x 112mm bolt pattern
66.6mm center bore hub

Thank you for the helpful responses. I have been looking for a set of black and chrome rims. They are what I was looking for but I am not willing to modify the car.

The search continues.

Thanks again for the constructive comments.
