Changing front left SAM module '03 c230

the dealership wants about 1500 for this job, $600+ parts + hours of labor. I can get the part myself much cheaper, but is this a DIY job? from what iv seen it looks fairly easy to swap out.

Any word on how this went, how to do it, location of SAM and Wires, or how to test if it is working?

Exclamation Changing the SAM Module

I changed mine on a 2003 Mercedes c230 4dr sport sedan. My windshield wipers stopped working and I thought it was a fuse, so in the rain, I wasn't thinking and pulled open the fuse box (SAM Module) letting rain fall into it. To make a long story short, it ruined everything on the car and nothing worked. I bought a used one off ebay for $88 bucks shipped, put it in with no programming and worked just fine! And needless to say, no fuses were popped, it was my combination turn signal switch that needed to be replaced. lol. Just make sure you take a picture of the connections before you take them apart so you don't plug one up in the wrong place!!!
