Aux input

Hi, can anyone please help.

I have comand with aux input in glovebox. I have connected up a portable DVD player that is designed for incar as well as out. The sound when playing a dvd through the bose is excellent when the engine is off.
The problem I have is that when I start the engine I have a noise come through the speakers of the engine that increases as I accelerate. Sounds like a car with a blown exaust. Any of you car audio experts that can help.

Thanks

Not like a whine? Otherwise I would think you either have a filtering problem on the power side or a grounding problem.
