flapping vent noice

2001 C320
flapping vent noice
I have a 2001 C320. Upon starting my vehicle there is an annoying flapping sound that comes from the center vents that lasts for about a minute, then it stops until the vehicle is started again.

Sound like a vent door is trying to either stay open or close. Has anyone experienced this problem before? If so, please let me know if it's something that can be easily repaired.

^^ Yuppers, read the sticky at the top of the forum - "noisy air conditioner ... clicking & hissing". You need to replace one of your linkages that broke.
