My friends planning to pick up a 06 w203 and he was wondering if there was any problems with the car? Any major issue with the car etc etc? Thanks.

yeah up until the 04 the W203 used the Valeo radiator which has a design flaw that it blows and leaks coolant into the transmission fluid, MB dealer wanted 7k to fix, got it done at an independent shop for 1000 but still, pain in the ***

i would say with an 06 there in nothing that really commonly goes wrong with them is it a c230, c280 or c350?

There were a few different engine/trim options for '06-07, and while I can't comment on them all, I certainly can speak for the C230 SS w/2.5L V6 mated to the 7G-tronic transmission. Thus far, from my own personal experiences and including the testimonies of others, they are nearly bulletproof! I have not for one moment regretted the purchase of my W203 C230 and I know that I speak for many with that statement.

I have the 06 2.5 V6 Sport with a six speed and love it. Only thing that need to be replaced was the thermostat and that was under warranty.

hey lol mine has been one of the most reliable w203 on here and most miles 143k but yeah run like hell the 05-07 are so cheap know might as well not risk it.

Haven't had any problems yet, I have a 2007 c280 inching up to 50k trouble free miles except for a few minor things like a bulb going bad, but they're good cars.
