How do you remove this piece???

Ive read through a bunch of intake threads, but just couldn't find the answer and i've been sitting in my garage pulling and tugging and squeezing and still couldn't do it.

How the hell do you remove this piece from driver side intake scoop thing?? fyi, its a M271

(not my pic, took it from one of the threads here)

Thanks,

^^ Click the "New Thread" Button on the top left of the forum, above where the highest stickied topic is.

and no idea how to pop it off, but you might just need to pull squeeze and tug harder and faster!!

You might need something or someone the catch the part. The more effort you put into it, the more substantial the release will be!

Yeah you could just try knocking it out, are you trying to make a ram air setup? GLK4matic (aka Jay) is trying to rig something like that to replace the cheap intake and get in inlet through that hole your trying to get through

well after trying to punch that piece out, it wouldn't budge. I don't get it, i seriously thought i was breaking things. guess ill try again tomorrow.

Yes, i actually bought a homemade intake from darcknight, pics below. I want to install it and see if it works, then i want to try and get a pipe made so i can use both scoops.

I can't imagine that small section of pipe doing much other than preventing a small amount of heat buildup, but even so, that section is so small it probably wouldn't effect the flow/temp.
Lol just for kicks. you should stick a vornado thingy in there. lol

Looks like the only difference is that intake is routed through the left hand side (drivers)...so whats the point?

What's the point of you always being negative? All you have done is been negative towards members.

Here is the real question. What's the point of you being here?

Karo...Calm down a little. I was just asking if there was any benefit to what he was doing. I wasn't being negative at all. Just being curious. From what i can see there would be no performance gain, so why do it? I can see this is just an attempt to begin an online argument. Nice job

If you read Roland posts you will notice that he very much enjoy to mod his car, either for performance or esthetic reason, and this intake at least looks great. That’s why your question could sound negative to some members.
