OK, I hate to do this, but since I was one of the only two NOT to flake from the last meet, it's looking like I won't be able to make it. I'm still unemployed, and I just can't afford the time or gas to drive down to Orlando. I really wish I could. At least it's looking like we will be having more of these, so this isn't a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Sorry, everyone. I hope whoever still goes has a great time!

Alas, I will be in Orlando a week too late.

 

yeah Im not going because it doesnt seem like enough people are gunna show, and I may be in NYC

 

My wife and I will be near Orlando (Disney-ish) the week of 5/30 - 6/5. Anyone interested in trying to get a few people together for dinner or something? I know it is during the week....but just a thought.

 

I hate to say this, but shall we push this back? Not many seem to be going, and a location has not been set and agreed upon!

 

I agree. It looks like only 3 people are available tomorrow. Let's cancel tomorrow and find a date that works for everyone.

How does next Saturday, May 29 work for everyone?

 

We are still debating when we leave Atlanta, but we probably will be down Saturday afternoon late. So the 29th will work for me, if we make it sorta late.

Although we probably won't be in the C-Coupe. As my wife so nicely put it "Why have an SLK if we can't take it to Florida?" Since it is hers primary vehicle, and a nice opportunity for me to get some time driving it, I quickly agreed.

 

So, I guess this didn't happen, then. I have a job interview tomorrow, so I should hopefully be employed soon. Next weekend's no good for me. My gf has to have a procedure done on Thursday, so I want to be there for her for the weekend. I would really like to go whenever this is, though.

 

So are we going to try to reschedule this meet?

 

Tomorrow at noon... kidding. Let's start throwing out times. I still don't have a job, but I should hear back Monday (fingers crossed). I'll see what it looks like after that.

 

I just got an ultrawide-angle lens for my 450D, so I call the photographer position at the (still unplanned) upcoming meet.

I'll be in China until the 8th of next month though, starting the 21st of this month.

Perhaps schedule it afterwards?
