Gear shifter boot

How do you replace a gear shifter boot. Mine is torn and I was wondering if there are any other after market alternatives besides replacing the boot itself?? Help!

Year and slushbox or manual transmission identification would help with the answer.

Generally, unless you want to do a bit of fabrication and/or gluework, OEM is the safest bet, unfortunately. Though it may be pretty expensive - some models don't have a separate boot, and you'd have to buy the entire shift assembly in total.

I have a 01 C320 automatic. I saw some used OEM shifter with boot on ebay for $100.00. Unfortunately, it was a black leather boot and not gray. I may have to resort to the glue repair. Thanks for the help.
