Ok, so a little background. 2005 C230 Sport Sedan, modified intake is all I've done.
Ok, so here's the deal. I replaced the alternator with a unit I bought online, had to make my own cannon plug but it worked beautifully. Battery charges fine and holds a good charge, everything seems ok with the system, but the light is still on. Do I need to have the light reset by the dealer?
Also, on my last trip from New Mexico to Las Vegas (where the car currently sits while I'm deployed) I noticed the exhaust has kind of a sputtering noisy feel to it from under the car. Not sure what it is but the car seems to drive ok, just annoying noise. If anyone has any ideas I'd like to hear them. It was raining really heavy and I thought maybe I damaged the cat by getting it too hot (120mph most of the trip until the rain hit). I plan to take the car to the dealer for the 60k mile service in August when I come home for R&R, just wanted opinions.
Finally, about a year ago I hit a separated tire in the road which took out the intercooler mesh grill and the mesh grill around my right fog light (AMG parts). Does anyone have these parts they would like to sell cheap so I don't shell out $400 at the dealer on top of what I already have to pay for the other stuff? I am planning on trading the car in on a 2008-09 C63 when I get home next March and want the car running and looking good.
Thanks for any help ya'll might have!

If the light is still on, you should have it reset by someone w/ STAR. Usually a dealer or 3rd party MB service station will do it for you. Some may do it for free while others may charge a little fee (upwards to the hourly fee).
Not too sure about the exhaust though. If not, you could take it as an excuse to get a new one hehe. Some members have been clearing out parts quite cheap in the classifieds. This includes those grill pieces too.
Oh and one more thing. Thank you for your service, what you're doing is greatly appreciated.
