for those who have not renewed tele-aid
I am not planning on renewing my tele-aid subscription, can someone let me know if I will get that malfunction on my display similar to what was there when it wasn't activated?

No, there won't be any problems.
Just be SURE you call and confirm that they have cancelled. Ask them to fax you confirmation.
They like to try to trap people into another year. (See my "Teleaid Ripoff" thread from a couple of weeks ago).
I finally got mine cancelled, but it was a hassle.

Sounds as bad as Dish Network. I had to call 5 times to get it cancelled and each time they assured me that I was cancelled. Then I called them again and it wasn't cancelled. Then they charged me because I went 1 day over because of their mistake. I think a month ahead of time I'll send Teleaid a certified letter requesting the cancellation. Are there any honest companies anymore?

Seems like the concensus is to cancel Teleaid after the first year...I wonder if anyone is re-upping their Teleaid for the another term or two....
Other than peace of mind...are there really any benefits of having it?...for that one time that you may need it situation?
I guess personal preference...I have not decided what I will do when my time is near....
