Exclamation Harris/Kineda sill install help! Urgent!

Help! I've got the custom sill from Harris, how do you get to the wires that need to be tapped under th B-piller? Is the door switch even at the back of the door, or is it in front? Help! Thanks!

The door switch is located inside the b-pillar, see arrow in the picture. Just remove the plastic trim on the b-pillar and look inside, you should see a white little box where there's wire connect to it.

Okay, I foundit, but here's my next question, how do I tap it? Do I just splice into the blue/brown wire? Where should I splice? The only easy place is right up by the switch. Any ideas anyone???

Just spice everywhere you want on the brown / grey wire, and see if the lights turn on. And then use some tape to wrap the connection and then you are done.

To avoid using electrical tape and to make the job cleaner and easier, you should use mid-line taps to "tap" for power. The wire being tapped goes into the one of the grooves and the wire that is using the supplied power goes into the other groove. Then push the metal piece down and it bridges the power from one wire to the other. Very simple. I'm pretty sure the MB wires for the lights are 16-18 ga., so buy taps that will fit that size wire. Any Radio Shack or electronics store should carry them. Here's a pic...

I am sorry Cole, I didnt surf this site last night. Please send me an e-mail if you have any questions. Is everything okay now?

Guys, watch for his sills, the one that he ordered has "carbon fibre" look!

Alright guys, sills are FINALLy about 95% done. I broke two of the green plastic clip things on the B pillar panel, so I've got to go to the dealership to pick up a couple clips. Is there any way to get that panel off or moreso back on easily? Everything else went well, the passenger side is all sealed up and looks great! This is a good kit, and I thank Harris for putting it together. I'd give it a 8/10 in terms of fit and quality. My only complaints are: I do wish that Harris would edit the instructions a bit to suit the coupe and my carbon fiber sticker on the driver's side has some bubbling (but after all this installation, and anxious waiting it's not that big a deal, and I'm sure no one will notice). I'll try and get some pics as soon as possible. Thanks!

Cole, I will take your advice and try to improve as much as possible. I have not done any C-coupe locally, thats why I was not able to conduct an instruction solely based on the C-coupe. If you think the bubbling is troubling you, please send it back to me and I'll be glad to make another one for you. I want my clients to be 100% satisfied. If I am getting a 8/10, I will only charged you 80% of what you paid, do you want me to credit 20% back to you or keep 20% store credit with me?
