Max hp/torque from 1.8L?
What do you guys think the max hp and torque will be with pulley and Intercooler? Also, how much torque can the manual tranny handle?
Thanks

Thanks, I was hoping for estimates
Since I am sure that some of the senior members must have seen/heard something from all the MB tuners....

The hp and torque numbers will depend on how much smaller you make the supercharger pulley. The size of the pulley will determine the amount of boost and the amount of power.
But the 1.8L is already running a lot more boost than the 2.3L and it's probably not a good idea to increase it too much, if at all. I imagine there is some room to add a little more, but I wouldn't go and do anything like 20% more. You might be asking for trouble.

The audi 1.8T can make 209hp and 245lb/ft
Chipped. What they do is hit 17+ psi in the low rpm and gradually drop off the boost at high rpms so they can get huge torque down low. Why couldn't we do the same?

I would start with a %10 smaller SC pulley, this will give you around %10 more boost. The current boost is 11 psi, so the pulley should give you around 12-13 psi, give or take. This would hopefully come out to a 10-15 Hp gain and the IC should help out a little more, but mostly get rid of the heatsoaking and 10-15hp loss due to heatsoaking.
