i have blown my back left door speaker and need to replace. I dont know if i should go with factory or put a new system in. I need help knowing how big the speaker is in the back left door and if you guys have any suggestions besides getting OEM stock speaker. Its stock speakers and not a bose system. Dealership wants to charge me close to 500 dollars just for the back left door and i think there is a better option than that. I have a 2005 C240 - 4matic Please get back to me thanks.

$500 that is robery...
here is the deal... i just installed 4 new speakers. The factory speaker is non standard and includes the mount...you can fit a 5 or 6 inch aftermarket speaker but you will have to make an adaptor plate out of 3/4 inch mdf or ply wood...
see attached picture... it is easy to trace it from the removed speaker.
But that also means you have to replace both left and right..
up to you not difficult but depends on what you want to accomplish.
Unless you are into car audio big time.. the best may be to find a used oem speaker on ebay...
btw.. fronts left and right are identical...
and rear left and right are identical.
but front wont fit rear and vice versa.
